Spin-OFF is the new narrative branch of THEPÒSITO, an autonomous, lateral but connected exhibition format, which was created to inhabit experimental spaces, open to derivative stories, to deviation. As happens in television series or narrative franchises, the spin-off moves out of the main plot, but maintains its resonances, expanding the conceptual universe of the gallery in unexpected directions.
For the 2025/26 cycle, Spin-OFF presents the project 'Chronotopia'. An articulated and plural curatorial research and investigation on Time, its forms and perceptions, its traces and absences which are found in the reinterpretation of works by selected artists. In particular, next season exhibition projects will introduce a curatorial collaboration between Valentina Muzi (independent curator and journalist from Rome) and Lorenzo Rubini (independent curator and founder of THEPÒSITO Art Space).
In the first exhibition ‘Chronotopia’ time is observed through the gaze of the machine, in a perspective that escapes human domination to open up to other rhythms, algorithms and logics. The works of Chiara Fantaccione and Fabien Zocco stage precisely this distance, time becomes impersonal measurement, computed fragment, orbital perception, refractive map.

Artists
(b. 1991, Terni - Italy)
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia and later from RUFA - Rome University of Fine Arts. Her artistic research is based on the use of image in the contemporary era and particularly on its superposition to reality. Analyzing the genres belonging to art history and photography, dictated by criteria and similarities that make them clichés, she uses real objects, photographic images and digital devices, tapping into the visual experience of the observer to question the practice of representation. Since 2017 she’s part of ‘Spazio In Situ’ a Roman artists’ collective.
(b. 1980, Lille - France)
Graduated from Le Fresnoy-Studio national des arts contemporains. His artistic approach evolves towards sculptural research combining multiple materialities (glass, porcelain, etc.) and digital creation processes. His works, in turn summoning history, philosophy, literature or science as plural sources of inspiration, seek to explore the boundaries between the living and the inert, the human and the non-human. He is represented by the Galerie Keshavarzian (Paris).
