Spin-OFF is the new narrative branch of THEPÒSITO, an autonomous, lateral but connected exhibition format, which was created to inhabit experimental spaces, open to derivative stories, to deviation. As happens in television series or narrative franchises, the spin-off moves out of the main plot, but maintains its resonances, expanding the conceptual universe of the gallery in unexpected directions. Find out the next exhibitions in the dedicated section here.

For the 2025/26 cycle, Spin-OFF presents the project 'Chronotopia'. An articulated and plural curatorial research and investigation on Time, its forms and perceptions, its traces and absences which are found in the reinterpretation of works by selected artists. In particular, next season exhibition projects will introduce a curatorial collaboration between Valentina Muzi (independent curator and journalist from Rome) and Lorenzo Rubini (independent curator and founder of THEPÒSITO Art Space).

The term ‘chronotopia’ is a neologism that combines chrono (time) and topia (place), suggesting an idea of temporal landscape, of geography in which time manifests itself in multiple and often non-human ways: non-linear, cyclical, intermittent, dissonant.

Spin-OFF/Chronotopiaaims to be more than just a cycle of exhibitions but rather an unstable map, a poetic archive of eccentric and misaligned times. An invitation to inhabit other horizons, other durations. An attempt to undermine the centrality of human perception to make room for decentralized temporal readings, poised between anthropocentrism and otherness.
