The flying ghosts into y vertical pool is a solo show by Riccardo D’Avola-Corte.
The artist's research seems to sneak itself into the cracks of the ordinary, activating a constant friction between the tangible casing of things and their inner energy. Rejecting the construction of new iconographies, the artist prefers the use of elements recovered from reality, helmets, sports equipment, organic fragments already marked by wear and tear or by history. Through grafting and reassembly processes, these components lose their original function to transform into physical traps, material resonators capable of encapsulating the invisible and making the impalpable visible.
The exhibition space ceases to function as a simple container of artifacts and transforms into a three-dimensional cavity, a pool, a dense volume in which the experience becomes a true immersion along the walls of a well of memory.

He lives and works in Rome. Graduated from the Brera Academy in Milan, since 2023 he has been part of PrimaLinea Studio and he’s founder of the Casual Sculptures project.
